Me and my fiance are looking get a mutual credit card tips?

we make around 30k combined yearly, neither one of us has ever had a card before. we want to use it for wedding expenses to collect airline miles for our honeymoon. we have a budget that we do not want to and will not excesd. thoughts, comments, suggestions???

my tip would be - don't use it is your plan to put all your expnses on credit just for measly air miles I cut up my credit card years ago, there's no such thing as a 'free lunch'

Don't do it. You each acquire your own credit card and build your own personal credit. What you are planning is the worse way. You are setting yourself up for financial troubles. Credit cards are for emergencies not weddings. It takes 50k in charges to earn an airline ticket.
