Experience in residential real estate. I got lucky and landed this job (Account executive for a commercial lender) after just 5yrs of working in residential. I will tell you this, getting going is a pain in the a**!!! expect a few months to go by without a pay check, commercial loans take a long time to close, require an upfront commitment fee (usually around $3k) and the enviromental issues on them are rediculous. Other than that, just be on top of your game in sales. It's one thing to get the job, it's another thing all together to keep it.
